Job Title: Production Operator 

Position Reports To: Plant Manager 

FLSA Status: Full-time; Non-Exempt

We are currently seeking a dependable, safety-focused, and detail-oriented Production Operator to join our growing team in Midland, TX. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a hands-on environment and is committed to maintaining efficiency, quality, and safety in daily operations.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Handling and managing hazardous materials.

• Forklift operations required.

• Loading and unloading flatbed and box van trailers, bulk tankers, and ISO containers.

• Assist in warehouse inventory.

• Set up and start all mixing tanks and blenders.

• Obtains and understands all documentation for making batches. Ensures correct ingredients are used for each batch.

• Pumping and pouring chemicals into blend tanks in predetermined quantities.

• Operates equipment (mixers, scales, meters, pumps, forklifts, etc.) safely.

• Repackages bulk products into drums, pails, and totes according to repackaging agreements.

• Ensures all raw materials returned to inventory have the correct quantity and information on containers and containers are in good condition.

• Follows lab instructions regarding batch approval, adjustments, and any additional requirements.

• Cleans equipment when needed. Maintains appropriate level of housekeeping according to company standards.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.

• Must be able to read/comprehend written and oral instructions in English, including safety rules, operating procedures, product recipes, material identification, etc.

• Must have mathematical skills to add, subtract, multiply, and divide. Able to perform these operations using weight and volume measurements.

• Able to manipulate 55-gallon drums, 5 and 7-gallon buckets, and powder bags up to 55 lbs.

• Good troubleshooting skills.

• Experience driving a forklift is preferred; a valid certification is a plus but not required.

• Participates in ongoing safety programs, including safety meetings and training.
